Religious Life Programming at Pfeiffer
Designed for all backgrounds, faith-based or secular, Religious Life provides students a welcoming space to discuss all manners of faith, ethics, and moral philosophy. Find a complete schedule on the Pfeiffer Events calendar.
Step into the cool, quiet of Pfeiffer Chapel for a time of Scripture, reflection, and prayer, each Tuesday at 1pm. All are invited to join and participate at whatever level is comfortable.

Throughout their academic career at Pfeiffer, discipleship small groups help students discern their call by God, no matter their major. Students attend weekly small groups and bi-annual retreats led by the chaplain or a local pastor. Students can register for RAPT110 to receive course credit for participation. Student-led small groups are also available each week.

Various Sunday worship opportunities are available, including a monthly morning Catholic Mass and evening Fellowship of Christian Athletes worship gathering.
Athletic Ministries at Pfeiffer provides spiritual direction, fellowship, and encouragement among student-athletes and coaches. In addition to attending large group events and activities, students can apply to be leaders and positively influence the athletic community as Sports Chaplains. Students also lead an on campus Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle.

As a United Methodist-affiliated institution, Pfeiffer is committed to religious diversity, equity, and inclusion. Accordingly, Pfeiffer hosts several interfaith programs each year. Some of these include:
- Interfaith worship: Worship experiences that highlight diversity in faith traditions
- Interfaith Activities: A variety of different activities that promote learning about religious diversity on campus
- Ripple Conference: Hosted at Elon University, The Ripple Conference offers time to learn, engage, reflect, and share. Together participants learn about other traditions, including religious, spiritual, and secular worldviews. We engage in social justice and interfaith dialogue. Other events within the conference will offer time to share music, stories, and delicious local food.
Religious life is dedicated to the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of Pfeiffer’s students, faculty, and staff. Programs include:
- Art and Soul: Programming that connects art, faith, and mindfulness
- Labyrinth Walks: an ancient practice used by many different faiths for spiritual centering, contemplation, and prayer
- Contemplative Prayer to Chapel Prayer Time: a weekly time for prayer, meditation, and being in the presence of God.
The chapel offers:
- Worship and fellowship with other students through regular services and private reflection in a welcoming environment.
- A religious life staff who offers counsel, inspiration, and direction.
- The perfect setting for beautiful weddings.
