Equipping Students to Lead
Pfeiffer University equips outdoor education and Leadership graduates with the skills necessary to succeed in the growth industry of the outdoors. With a bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education and Leadership, graduates can pursue many different fields including Adventure and Environmental Education, Conservation Law, Outdoor Programing, Youth Ministry, and more.
Pfeiffer’s Outdoor Education and Leadership program combines a wide range of courses including psychology, communications, business, health and wellness, sociology, and more, so that graduates can successfully plan, implement, and evaluate programs to meet the diverse needs of those served in the outdoor industry. Students make a minimum investment of 59 semester hours in required courses and specialty studies, in addition to general education requirements and electives. Students will also complete an internship within the field.
Hands-On Experience
With most of the Outdoor Education and Leadership courses having an experiential learning component, students will get hands-on experience throughout their time within the program. Students will also complete a required internship, giving them real-world experience within the field.
