This outdoor event provides the opportunity to use a telescope to view celestial objects and observe the diversity of insects and bats flying around Gibson Lake at night. Drs. DeJaco, Riley, and Hume will have telescopes and an insect landing platform to allow for a closer (and safe) look at various nocturnal insects and other arthropods. Dr. DeJaco will detect bats in the area using an echometer! You’ll learn about stargazing, using telescopes and a wide variety of flying insects, and bats near Gibson Lake.
