Faculty Spotlight – Ross Braymer
Meet Ross Braymer, Pfeiffer University’s Assistant Professor of Mathematics. After finishing graduate school in 2006, he started his first job at Pfeiffer and has continued teaching Pfeiffer students since. Braymer teaches College Algebra, College Trigonometry, Calculus I, Calculus II, and Business Calculus.
When asked about what got him interested in his field, Braymer said, “From an early age, mathematics was always what came easiest to me. I think people naturally gravitate towards what they are best at, and working with numbers always made the most sense to me.”
Braymer knows that not all of his students will end up in careers that require knowing the exact mathematical equations taught in his classes, but he does hope that all of his students will improve their critical thinking skills and get extra practice at solving problems.
